Travis was traded to the Giants, from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for Jason Ellison on April 1, 2007. However, Travis' tenure was quick and dirty ... he appeared (started) in only two games in 2007, and posted a 7.27 ERA in 8.2 inning, and gave up 10 hits and 7 runs. After his abysmal starts, he was promptly sent down to AAA Fresno where he remained for the '07 season. At season's end, Travis was released from the Giants and would spend the next three years playing in the minors for four different Major League teams (Phillies, D'Backs, A's, and Mets), and one year in the Mexican League playing for Chihuahua.
Travis is now the second former Giant to sign with a Korean team this offseason. Ryan Garko signed with the Samsung Lions in late 2010.
