Augusta Greenjackets receive their 2010 World Series rings

As reported by The Augusta Chronicle yesterday, seven members of Augusta Greenjackets coaching staff and front office received their 2010 SF Giants World Series rings. In a private ceremony after their game, Fred Stanley, director of player development presented rings to the following individuals:

  • Lipso Nava, manager
  • Steve Kline, pitching coach
  • David Getsoff, trainer
  • Nick Brown, general manager
  • Jeff Eiseman, Ripken Baseball Group
  • Mike Anderson, team videographer
  • Robert Lehn, chaplain

I don't know how many other teams present members of their minor league staff with World Championship rings to thank them for their work for players that are on the big league club, but this sounded pretty cool to us.
